LE PONANT
Your GolfAhoy Mediterranean Golf Cruise onboard the 64-guest luxury sailing yacht LE PONANT will combine sightseeing treasures with play at five of the region’s leading golf courses.
Begin in Nice before setting sail for Portoferraio on Elba Island in the Tuscan Archipelago. (Add a 3 or 4 night pre or post cruise at a top French Riviera golf resort or stay and play in neighboring Monte Carlo).
The seaside resort city of Viareggio in Tuscany is our next port from which serves as an ideal stopover en route to the architecture of Pisa, the city of Lucca and the world’s art capital in Florence.
LE PONANT will reach Civitavecchia early the next morning where you will leave for a day in Rome.
Next we sail west into the heart of the Mediterranean for Porto Rotondo situated on the beautiful “Costa Smeralda” in Sardinia. For the following three days, we will explore the charms of Porto Rotondo, then Bonifacio and Calvi in Corsica, without turquoise waters, bright beaches and limestone cliffs ever leaving view.
Finally, we arrive in Cannes. This capital of cinema city on the French Rivera was once a simple fishing village, then a Roman outpost. Now it lands the world’s celebrity elite with a stunning collection of shops, restaurants and no small measure of je ne sais quoi!
The golf you’ll enjoy is highlighted by Mougins Golf Country Club one of the most prestigious and longstanding clubs in Cannes.
At Robert Trent Jones’ Pevero Golf Club in Sardinia and at Sperone in Corsica you’ll play alongside the Mediterranean and high above. Every golf arrangement from bag handling and transfers to and from the course will be provided.
