Rated one of the best new courses by Golf Magazine and Golf Digest, as well as one of North America's most women-friendly by Golf for Women, the Wailea Emerald is akin to a lush tropical playground. But don't be fooled by the Emerald's pleasant appearance. It is a superbly designed course created for pure golf enjoyment, regardless of one's handicap. Measuring 6,825 yards from the back, the Emerald features four to six tee boxes on every hole, allowing players to tailor the course to their playing level. Notable features include a large double green shared by holes #10 and #17. Fronting the green is the only lake on the course. This is perhaps one of the Emerald's more picturesque spots.

The home course of the Wendy's Champions Skins Game, the Wailea Gold Course is the most challenging of Wailea's trio. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., it has been ranked among the country's best new courses by Golf Magazine and Golf Digest, and one of the world's best designed by the readers of Conde Nast Traveler. Throughout the course are stark lava rock outcroppings, indigenous Hawaiian grasses, an abundance of kiawe (a relative of mesquite), and remnants of papohaku, prehistoric lava rock walls built by early Hawaiians and preserved for their historic value. The Gold's 200 foot elevation change from top to bottom enhances the numerous ocean and mountain vistas available from virtually every hole. The course has been labeled a "thinking player's" course because it demands strategy and careful club selection to be played well.

- Middle 5833 yardage • 121 slope
- Back 6841 yardage • 136 slope

The terrain upon which The Dunes is built prime, unspoiled linksland— unique million-year old alluvial sand dunes—almost prehistoric in nature. Holes weave up and down, through and around sixty foot-high sand dunes located in the heart of Central Maui, in what is known as the Kahului isthmus, where two ancient major volcanoes meet to form Maui, The Valley Isle. Golfers in search of a total Maui golf experience are encouraged to experience The Dunes at least once.

The Challenge at
Manele
Par 72 | Yardage 5,024 - 7,039 | Slope 115 - 135
Carved out of the rugged coast, the Challenge at Manele sprawls across ancient
lava fields, with 180-degree ocean panoramas from every hole. A theater of color
unfolds: red cliffs plunging down to blue sea, green fairways engulfing white
sand traps, and blossoms from fissures in the black lava rock. This was the palette
of designer Jack Nicklaus, who shaped the 7,039 yard, par 72 championship course,
carefully protecting and preserving the archaeological ruins within its borders.
Teeing off from the cliffs at Hulopoe Bay with the Pacific surging below, you
face perhaps the world's most unforgiving water hazard. The 12th hole is nothing
short of a leap of faith, with 200 yards of churning waves to cross. Other holes
demand shots over yawning ravines. Fortunately, the five-tee concept - with courses
of shorter yardage mapped in red, white, blue, gold and 'Nicklaus' - allows golfers
of all levels to emerge unscathed.

Pukalani Country Club
Par 72 | Yardage 5,579 - 6,882 | Slope 121- 127
Set in the gentle hillsides of "Upcountry" Maui, Pukalani Country
Club overlooks the Pacific Ocean and offers breath-taking panoramic views of
the Valley Isle of Maui. The course is nestled at the 1,100 foot elevation level
of world famous Mount Haleakala, an extinct volcano whose name in Hawaiian means "House
of the Rising Sun" and is appropriately reflected as the golf course's
logo. This par 72 course plays to 6,882 yards from the championship tees and
features 19 greens in its 18-hole layout. The par 3 third hole offers the choice
of a tough into the wind shot to a green across a ravine. A challenging alternative
is a shorter shot downhill into a ravine to a well-bunkered green hundreds of
feet below the tee box. No other golf course in Hawaii can offer you this unique
setting and challenge. "Pukalani" which in Hawaiian means "Heavenly
Gate" certainly describes Pukalani Country Club!
