Testimonials from GolfAhoy Friends
Our first golf-cruise, in fact our very first cruise! Thank you for working with us so patiently. We are hooked now and will definitely be taking more golf-cruises with GolfAhoy.
The Celebrity ECLIPSE is a beautiful ship, we loved every day. Our pre-cruise stay at the EPIC Hotel in Miami was wonderful too.
Your GolfAhoy golf excursion arrangements in Grand Cayman; Cozumel – Mexico; and Roatan – Honduras were first class.
Thank you for getting us upgraded and thank you for the Senior Citizen’s Special Offer coupon from Celebrity Cruise Lines.
If you ever want to book a ‘golf cruise’ on a small top-of-the-line luxury cruise ship you should definitely consider the 490 passenger Regent Seven Seas Cruises – NAVIGATOR.
Our University of California Alumni group golf cruise from Fort Lauderdale to Bermuda & the Colonial South ports in April, aboard the NAVIGATOR, was organized for us by GolfAhoy Cruise Planners.
Everything went like clockwork and onboard the officers and crew worked at making us feel welcomed and relaxed, happy, and full of delicious food the whole 10 days.
At each port along the way, GolfAhoy arranged transportation to take us to golf courses (and we never had to stand in line and wait) where our tee times, greens fees, cart rental and boxed lunches awaited us.
The first evening of the cruise they did an interesting thing. At 5pm they held a ship-wide ‘block party’. Everyone was encouraged to step outside of their suites into the common corridors and meet their neighbors! Since GolfAhoy had bottles of champagne in each of our suites, we all met our neighbors with glasses of champagne held high. While we were introducing ourselves, the ship’s Captain and the Cruise Director did a stroll down each corridor to personally greet every passenger.
The food on the NAVIGATOR was spectacular and all beverages including liquor were included, as were all tips – we loved it being all-inclusive. We had dinner twice during the cruise at Prime 7 Steakhouse restaurant – gourmet steaks at their best!
Lori, please let us head the list of your happy clients who will definitely use GolfAhoy again.
This is absolutely the best golf vacation we’ve ever had. We will definitely do it again.
The golf destinations were superb! The GolfAhoy.com reservations staff are a fountain of knowledge. Very well planned. We’ve booked again.
In late May my wife and I joined a GolfAhoy golf cruise to Bermuda. Our good friend at Kings Creek Country Club in Delaware, Phil Voshell, set up the cruise for four couples. My wife and I have traveled extensively but I have not been on a cruise before. It was our relationship with Phil that caused us to sign up. What a great vacation. Everything was perfect: the ship, the food and entertainment onboard, the golf in Bermuda. The combination of your company and Phil was great for us and we are ready to go again.
Flawless execution of a first class golf holiday. Lifetime memories.
Our fifth GolfAhoy golf cruise in five years. We have booked our sixth to Hawaii. Keep up the good work GolfAhoy. In this universe of mediocre service, you guys shine.
Thank you for your prompt refund. We were terribly disappointed that we could not get ashore to play golf in Cabo San Lucas due to the bad weather conditions. The rest of our trip was fabulous. We loved our stay at La Costa.
We got an immediate welcome & recognition from the Pro Shop staff when we mentioned that we were with a GolfAhoy group from the ship. Cozumel Golf & Country Club was a treat. Thanks for the V.I.P. treatment.
Everything was great and Joan and I both appreciate your assistance in making this a trip we enjoyed very much and will never forget.
Just a quick email now that we have finally returned home to let you know that we had a wonderful time on the cruise as well as the four days at the Doral in Miami. All went smoothly and all your arrangements were fantastic. Paul enjoyed the golf at Cozumel the best – but he also managed to fit in a round at the Campo de Golf de Yucatan just outside Merida as well as two rounds at the Cancun Hilton (where he met an eight foot crocodile on the course!). It was a shame that he wasn’t able to play at Grand Cayman, due to the Hurricane damage – but he was still able to manage seven rounds of golf in all as well as using the golf simulator on board the Navigator. We also both used the gym facilities – this made us feel less guilty about enjoying all the great meals on board. The Executive Chef on the Navigator is an Australian too”. “Many thanks for effort that you put in to making our holiday a truly memorable one”.
We are back, tan and rested from our GolfAhoy cruise. What a spectacular vacation: we felt like movie stars for 10 days! The Constellation was everything we hoped it would be. Our suite was wonderful and our butler, Carlton treated us like royalty. The dining experiences and entertainment were first rate. Golf was terrific: it had long been a goal of ours to play Teeth of the Dog and we weren’t disappointed. Sandy Lane was beautiful and would warrant a trip back. The Hyatt Dorado was very nice also and reminded us a little of The Boulders in Carefree, another favorite of ours. I enjoyed snorkeling right outside our room. The logistics were perfect; Carey limo took good care of us, and even our flights were timely. Thanks for helping us enjoy a vacation of a lifetime.
Hi Lori…Well, here we are. This was a great trip from beginning to end. We want to thank you for helping Ralph put it all together. What a great celebration we had. I guess you put out the word that it was our 50th, as everywhere we went it was acknowledged with congratulations and usually a cake and song. A lot of fun, beginning with Turtle Bay, which was fantastic and then our First Cruise was truly “a topper” From Chris, who handled all our golf to our personal butler Tom, along with James, the concierge. They all were tremendous. We felt like real VIP’s! and loved every minute. This was truly special. Thanks to you and your crew for a job well done.
Hi Lori, We just wanted to let you know that we thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Hawaii. The four days at Turtle Bay were wonderful. The Arnold Palmer Course was a treat. The cruise and accommodations were perfect and the golf on Maui, Kauai and the Big Island was just great. The Prince course was a challenge but the views were spectacular. The week in Waikiki was fun and just seemed to top off a wonderful vacation. Eric appreciated the opportunity to finally see Pearl Harbor. Kevin Hall who transported us from place to place was informative and really made our trip stress free. Thank you so much for making everything possible.
GREAT TRIP!
Thank you for all your assistance prior to my voyage with the NSGA (National Senior Golf Association) golf cruise group on the Carnival Victory Jan 31 to Feb 7, 2010. The cabin was fantastic, I’m glad that I made the upgrade. Thank you also for the bottle of champagne. That was very gracious of you. The transportation from the ship to the airport that you helped me with worked perfectly.
Thank you GolfAhoy for all your hard work.
The cruise was wonderful….the weather was perfect, and everything on the ship was as we had experienced before. We did some nice shore excursions and spent the day in Barbados with our friends that live there. I suppose the only compliant we made on our (comment) card was that knowing the Olympics were on and people from all over the world were on the ship….there was no coverage, talk, updates ….nothing. Both the Canadian & US passengers were disappointed about that one.
In any case, thank you for all your work in making the travel smooth.
Hi Lori. We had a wonderful time on the GolfAhoy Hawaii golf cruise. The boat is a great experience and being our first cruise we will certainly cruise again. Our accommodation was first class as was Cory (onboard Golf Pro). The limo transfer man (Kevin) was extremely helpful and very professional. We probably organized one too many golf games, but that was our doing. An extra day sight seeing would have been good. On a downside, we found Turtle Bay Resort to be isolated, extremely windy (the locals told us it is always windy) and limited in what we were able to do. Sitting around a pool is not our scene and only one of the golf courses is up to standard. The Fazio course is very ‘resort’ in design and not at all up to the Palmer course. I guess my comments are based on the very fact that we can sit by a pool, or beach, in Australia at any time. So to travel to USA and apply what we can do back in Aussie is the basis of my Turtle Bay comments. I can imagine that American people would warm to Turtle Bay but would be surprised if Aussies felt the same. But in saying this, it all depends on what the individual is looking for. The four days with more variety would have been more productive in our total 5 weeks traveling in the USA. The cruise helped us get over Turtle Bay. Please pass on our regards to Cory and Kevin. Once again thanks for you input in our time in Hawaii and we will talk again..
Thank you Lori for making all our arrangements for our recent trip celebrating Jack’s birthday. From the time we arrived in Honolulu, everything went like clockwork. Kevin (limo driver) was always right on time for our travel to and from Turtle Bay and our last day returning to the airport. Our accommodations on board ship were stellar. Lastly, Cory (onboard Golf Pro) did a wonderful job with all of our golf excursions. Each course was different and we were paired with different people each time. All in all, it was really a wonderful experience. Thanks again

“Lori, we are home and everything was perfect! Thanks for your help in making this a wonderful experience for all of us. Thank you also for the welcome cheese and crackers and chocolate covered strawberries when we arrived on the ship. You were a delight to work with”.
Ruth & Eric’s party of 8 enjoyed a few days at the 2010 British Open followed by a 12-day British Isles cruise
Prior to departure testimonial
Lori, I have to say, all your arrangements have been Top Shelf. Your attention to detail has been excellent, you have truly gone the extra mile…if there is anything I can do or say on your behalf, please let me know! I have already printed out the cruise documents, I have the luggage tags, so I think we are all set to go. I’ll be sure to check in with Cory (onboard Pro) when we get onboard…the issues with the Palmer course (aeration) at Turtle Bay and the Kona CC tee time should be no problem, we’ll work that out! Again, thank you for all your help! Rest assured I will tell all my friends about Golf Ahoy…hope to throw some business your way!
After vacation completion testimonial
Lori…Thank you for arranging our 20th Anniversary Golfing Cruise to Hawaii. Your attention to detail was superb. Every detail was scheduled and followed up, which made our preparation easy. The Suite on the Pride of America was the way to go, comfortable and relaxing…the private Jacuzzi was great. Kevin, our driver in Hawaii was great, always had a beer waiting and some chocolates for Vicki. Please be sure to send a thank you to Cory, (on ship golf pro)…a few tips and I’m playing better. Vicki and I look forward to our next trip to the south of Europe!
A golf cruise with your fellow gal golfers may be just what you’re looking for if you are one of the many ardent women golfers who have become bored with the conventional vacations of old – and are now desperate for a chance to combine your two greatest loves, luxury travel and fantastic golf. You will be delighted to know that there are companies out there who can offer you a fresh approach to a relaxing break with their golf cruises, offering the opportunity to play on the best courses in the world in a range of exotic locations.
Women-Golfers.com recommends the GolfAhoy Hawaii Golf/Spa Cruise, from the most renowned of these companies specializing in golf cruises – GolfAhoy.
There’s a market for luxury travel. Frankly, there will always be a market for it.
Your GolfAhoy limo driver Kevin who met us at Honolulu airport baggage carousel and drove us to Turtle Bay Golf Resort was fantastic. He showed us scenic spots on the way to the resort and the cold beer and cold bottled water he had for us in the limo was an unexpected pleasure after the flight from Australia.
Turtle Bay was great and the two rounds of golf there on the Arnold Palmer course and the George Fazio course were everything I expected.
The Owners Suite you booked for us on the boat was also fantastic and our Butler – Wally, took great care of us the whole voyage.
The upgraded golf courses you organized for us in Hawaii at each port were challenging but spectacular and I’ll send you some of the signature holes photographs that I took.
NCL needs to do something about the ‘budget’ food they serve in the main dining room – not what I expected – we’ve had much better food on the P&O boats in Australia.
We tried the Italian ‘specialty’ restaurant onboard but that was terrible too.
They took half an hour to bring us two glasses of drinking water after we were finally seated, then brought us a bottle of wine thirty five minutes after we ordered it.
The Italian dishes we ordered came to the table with plastic covers on the plates. The food was terrible.
The best meals we had during the entire cruise were the ones served to us course by course in our Suite by our Butler - Wally.
All in all the arrangements you made for us went very well from start to finish. Your onboard golf Professional Cory was very courteous and attentive at all times. All of the golf courses on the islands were in excellent condition and your transportation to and from the courses was always right on time.
Please thank Anthony for persuading me to buy the Owners Suite, everything about it was worth the extra money, and our Butler served up every special request.
We really liked Hawaii and will go back again.
Thank you for all the help organising this holiday for us. I will be looking forward to doing something else with you guys again.
We won’t cruise on NCL boats again but we are booking your GolfAhoy Southern Caribbean golf cruise on Celebrity in a couple of months – I have to attend a mining equipment trade show and conference in Mexico – and we are interested in your Iberian Peninsula golf cruise at the end of November on Crystal Cruise Lines – I have a business trip to Turkey around that time.
Jack and I are back in Las Vegas after a really wonderful 10 night GolfAhoy trip to Bermuda & the Colonial South (our second golf cruise with GolfAhoy) on the Regent Seven Seas NAVIGATOR.
I thought that we should report on the trip. Using Embassy Suites in Fort Lauderdale before the cruise worked out really well. Boarding the cruise ship was easy, quick and efficient. Our Suite was really elegant and everything on board the ship was first class. It is the nicest ship we have ever traveled on. The food and service were all excellent.
Now for the golfing experience! With the exception of Cable Beach Golf Course in Nassau, Bahamas, all the courses you booked for us were very nice. Cable Beach was not much better than a cow pasture. Really in bad shape as it is going to be torn down soon and has not been maintained.
Also we had to handle our own clubs. On board the NAVIGATOR no one ever offered to help us with our golf bags. We had to carry them the length of the ship from our Suite, down the ramp to the dock and then to the parking area to get to the GolfAhoy transportation van.
There were other golfers on board the ship that were not part of our GolfAhoy golf cruise group. They were totally on their own to try to make golf arrangements in each port we visited. No one on the ship helped them either. They had to phone around for tee times and taxi’s to get them to golf courses.
The GolfAhoy group we were with was really compatible.
All in all, we enjoyed out trip, but our Hawaii golf cruise with you was a better one in terms of golf.
