We are back home from Hawaii in Mississippi – awaiting possible snow tomorrow!
In short, our Hawaii golf cruise was FANTASTIC! It could not have gone better.
As for the golf courses:
Royal Hawaiian — it had rained the previous day, so it was cart path only. I loved the course, but it is much too difficult for the casual golfer.
Ko Olina — a beautiful course that was in great shape. Nice pro shop. Crowded but reasonably fast play.
Kapalua – Bay Course — everyone on our GolfAhoy trip loved it. Great views on the front side.
Wailea Emerald — very playable and was in great shape. Super pro shop. Everyone loved it.
Mauna Kea — hilly with lots of traps but beautiful views. Great pro shop.
Poipu — beautiful ocean views. Excellent greens.
Hokuala Ocean Course — very best greens we played. Excellent practice area. Nice staff.
Kapalua — Plantation Course — I loved the course. Difficult but fun to play on Monday following attending the PGA TOUR Tournament of Champions pros fight the wind the day before.
All the private chauffeur car pick-ups were on time and very friendly.
The cruise on the Pride of America was first-rate. Good food – enjoyed the specialty restaurants very much.
In short, we would repeat the trip in a heartbeat.
Appreciate all you did to make the overall experience run so smooth.
